Ginger Lemonade

Ingredients

  • 125 g fresh ginger
  • 1 Organic Lime
  • 1 Organic Orange
  • 250 g sugar
  • Ice cubes
  • 0.5 l soda or mineral water
  • 6 tbsp crushed ice
  • 6 lime and orange slices

Instructions

    Peel and finely grate the ginger. Thinly peel the zest of the lime and orange with a microplane. Squeeze the lime.

    Bring 1 l water to a boil with the sugar, add the ginger and simmer for 1 minute. Add the citrus zests and lime juice to a pitcher, pour over the hot ginger syrup, let cool, then cover and refrigerate for 24 hours.

    To serve, strain the ginger brew through a fine sieve. Add 1 tbsp ice and one slice of lime and orange to each glass, topping with mineral water to taste.
