Garlic Cream – Smart

This garlic cream from Spoonsparrow comes with far fewer calories and fat compared to the original aioli! It tastes delicious as a dip for grilled foods.

Ingredients

  • 100 g large cold potatoes (1 large cold potato; peeled, from yesterday)
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • Salt
  • 0.5 small lemon
  • 150 g silken tofu
  • 100 g salad cream (32% fat)
  • 2 tbsp milk (1.5% fat)
  • white pepper

Instructions

    Press the potato through a potato ricer into a bowl or mash it very finely with a potato masher.

    Peel, dice the garlic and sprinkle with a little salt. Smash it gently with the back of a large knife and add to the potato.

  3. 3.

    Squeeze half a lemon, measure 2–3 tsp of juice, and combine with tofu, salad cream, and milk in the bowl with the potato.

    Whisk everything together with a hand mixer until smooth. Season with salt and pepper and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes before serving.
