Ingredients

  • 7 eggs
  • Salt
  • butter (for frying)
  • 1 tbsp freshly chopped herbs (optional)
  • 5 lettuce leaves
  • 200 g cheese (block, e.g., Emmental)
  • 5 slices of toast bread
  • 0.25 Cucumber

Instructions

  1. 1.

Cook 3 eggs in boiling water for about 10 minutes, drain, rinse with cold water, peel and let cool.

  2. 2.

For the omelette whisk the remaining eggs in a bowl, season with salt and stir in herbs. Add a piece of butter to a hot pan and pour in the eggs. With a spatula or spoon scrape the cooked egg on the bottom of the pan repeatedly. Let the egg set on both sides, remove it and let it cool slightly. Cut into 3 cm squares.

  3. 3.

Wash the lettuce, dry it and cut into strips.

  4. 4.

Cut the cheese into about 1.5 cm cubes.

  5. 5.

Remove crusts from the bread and cut into 3 cm squares.

  6. 6.

Slice the boiled eggs into rounds or halves and place each egg slice on a cheese cube, securing with a toothpick.

  7. 7.

Stack the omelette pieces with bread slices and some lettuce to form sandwiches, also securing with toothpicks.

  8. 8.

Wash the cucumber, halve it lengthwise, slice and stack with cheese cubes. Secure and arrange all remaining bites on a plate.
