Funny Cheese Skewers

Enjoy these fresh cheese skewers with a playful twist from Spoonsparrow!

Ingredients

  • 0.5 cucumber
  • 4 radishes
  • 4 cocktail tomatoes
  • 1 stalk Celery
  • 1 sheet puff pastry (frozen)
  • 200 g sliced cheese (e.g., Gouda) thick slices
  • parsley
  • cocktail sticks

Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 175 °C (fan). Peel and quarter the cucumber, cutting into ~4 cm pieces. Clean, wash, and halve the radishes. Wash and halve the tomatoes, removing stems. Wash, clean, and cut celery into ~4 cm pieces. Thaw the puff pastry and roll it thin on a floured surface. Use a knife to cut small faces or shapes, place them on a cold rinsed baking tray, and bake in the preheated oven (middle rack) for about 10 minutes. Remove and cool.

    Cut out small cheese figures and skewer them onto the vegetable pieces with cocktail sticks. Place a parsley leaf between each at roughly halfway. Garnish with remaining parsley.
