Bruschetta with Goat Cheese and Arugula

Ingredients

  • 250 g goat cheese
  • 3 tbsp heavy cream (at least 30% fat)
  • 2 tsp finely chopped marjoram
  • 1 tbsp anchovy paste (ready-made)
  • 1 baguette (16 slices)
  • 0.5 bunch arugula
  • olive oil
  • balsamic vinegar
  • pepper (ground)

Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 180°C.

    Place the baguette slices on a baking sheet and roast in the hot oven until lightly browned. Then remove and let cool slightly.

    Whisk the goat cheese with the cream, marjoram, and anchovy paste into a smooth spread. Spread onto the bread slices. Return to the oven and briefly bake until the cheese is heated through.

    Wash, clean, rinse, dry, and trim any hard stems from the arugula. Finely chop the arugula.

    Take the finished crostini out of the oven, immediately sprinkle with some arugula, drizzle with a few drops of olive oil and balsamic vinegar, grind pepper over them, and serve right away.
