Fruity Potato Soup

Ingredients
- 400 g potatoes (starchy, boiling)
- 400 g kohlrabi
- 2 tbsp butter
- Salt
- Pepper (freshly ground)
- 1 l vegetable broth
- 4 slices rye bread (200 g)
- 1 sour apple
- 2 tbsp chives rings
- 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
- 50 g diced beef ham

Wash, peel and chop potatoes and kohlrabi. Sauté in 1 tbsp hot butter. Season with salt and pepper. Add broth, bring to a boil and simmer covered for about 25 minutes.

Cube the bread. Peel, quarter, core and slice the apple. Toast the bread cubes in remaining butter until crisp. Puree the soup, stir in lemon juice, season with salt and pepper. Return apple slices to the pot and reheat. Before serving sprinkle chives, ham, and bread cubes over the soup.
