Fruit Bread Without Flour
Simple and especially a fruity-sweet temptation in winter: try the fruit bread without flour from Spoonsparrow!
Ingredients
- 100 g peeled almonds
- 100 g Hazelnuts
- 100 g walnut kernels
- 150 g dried figs
- 150 g mixed candied fruits
- 150 g powdered sugar
- 100 g honey
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp cloves
- 1 tsp coriander
- 0.5 tsp ginger powder
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- 2 tbsp corn starch
- butter (for greasing)
- powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions

Roast almonds and nuts in a pan over low heat while stirring briefly. Let cool and roughly chop.

Dice figs and candied fruits into small cubes, place them in a bowl and mix with the spices and nuts.

Place powdered sugar and honey in a metal bowl set over a water bath. Stir constantly over low heat until the mixture melts and draws threads; then let it cool slightly while stirring.

Stir the honey solution into the prepared nut-fruit mixture and fold in 1-2 tbsp starch. Line two muffin tins with parchment paper, pour the batter in, and smooth the tops.

Bake in a preheated oven at 150°C fan for about 25–30 minutes. Let the fruit bread cool. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
