- 2 Tilapia (approx 300 g each, ready to cook)
- Lemon juice
- Salt
- ground pepper
- oil for frying

Pat the fish dry with a paper towel. On each side make 3 shallow cuts up to the bones, drizzle with lemon juice and season with salt and pepper.

Heat oil in a pan (oil is hot enough when small bubbles rise from a wooden spoon handle). Fry the fish portions until golden brown, about 3–4 minutes per side.
