Ingredients

  • 400 g halloumi
  • olive oil (for frying)
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

    Pat the halloumi dry with paper towels and slice into 1 cm thick pieces.

    Pour olive oil about 5 mm deep into a pan and heat over medium. Add the halloumi and fry each side for about 1 minute until golden brown. Remove from heat, pour lemon juice over it, and serve sprinkled with freshly ground black pepper.

    Serve directly from the pan or on a large platter with crisp white bread to soak up the lemon‑oil mixture.
