- 125 ml lukewarm milk
- 1 tsp sugar
- 250 g flour
- 2 tbsp sunflower oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 500 g onions
- 2 tbsp butter
- pepper (ground)
- 75 g grated cheese (e.g., Emmental)
- oil (for greasing the baking sheet)
Instructions

Dissolve the yeast in the milk with the sugar and knead into a smooth dough with flour, oil, and salt. Cover and let rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes.

Peel, halve, and slice the onions thinly. Sauté slowly in hot butter for about 5 minutes until translucent, season with salt and pepper, then allow to cool.

Preheat the oven to 200°C fan (about 400°F). Brush the baking sheet with oil.

Knead the dough again, roll it thin onto the size of the baking sheet, and place on the tray. Distribute the onions over the dough and sprinkle with cheese. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes until golden brown. Cut into pieces and serve immediately.
