A fish fillet wrapped in bacon with boiled potatoes and a delicate sauce makes for a tasty meal for the whole family. The recipe can be found at Spoonsparrow.

Ingredients

  • 800 g potatoes
  • Salt
  • 600 g longfish fillet
  • 2 stalks Parsley
  • 2 stalks dill
  • Pepper
  • 8 slices turkey bacon
  • 2 tbsp Rapeseed oil
  • 100 ml Vegetable broth
  • 100 ml heavy cream
  • 1 tsp organic lemon zest

Instructions

  1. 1.

Peel, wash, and cut the potatoes into large cubes. Place them in a pot, cover with water, add salt, and simmer for about 15–20 minutes.

  2. 2.

Meanwhile, rinse the fish, pat dry, and divide into eight portions. Wash and shake off excess moisture from the parsley and dill, then finely chop them.

  3. 3.

Season the fish with salt and pepper, coat each piece with half of the herbs, and wrap with a slice of bacon. Heat oil in a well‑lined pan and sear the fish over medium heat for about 6 minutes.

  4. 4.

Stir together the remaining herbs, broth, and cream. Warm the mixture and season with salt, pepper, and lemon zest to taste. Plate alongside the fish fillet wrapped in bacon. Drain the boiled potatoes and serve them with the fish.
