The fig jam from Spoonsparrow tastes delicious and is a great gift or bringalike!

Ingredients

  • 1800 g fresh ripe figs
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 clove
  • 700 ml red grape juice
  • 0.5 tsp agar-agar

Instructions

    Wash the figs, halve them and cut into strips. Combine with the cinnamon, clove, and grape juice in a pot and let steep for 2 hours.

    Bring the figs slowly to a boil and add the agar-agar powder. Then simmer for 2 minutes.

    Fill sterile jars completely with the fig jam, seal well, and immediately place the lids down on a dishcloth. Let stand for 5 minutes, then flip over and allow to cool completely.
