Ingredients

  • 1 kg fresh ripe figs
  • water
  • vanilla pods
  • 250 g sugar
  • Lemon juice
  • 1 shot rum

Instructions

    Wash and peel the figs.

    Bring water to a boil, add vanilla pods and sugar, simmer for 10 minutes.

    Add the figs to the syrup and cook for 3-5 minutes.

  4. 4.

    Season with lemon juice and rum. Serve chilled, optionally topped with whipped cream.
