Ingredients
- 2 handfuls elderflowers
- 1 untreated lemon
- 500 g sugar

Do not wash the elderflowers; just shake and discard them. Rinse the lemon hot and slice it into rounds. Slowly bring the sugar with 1 l water to a boil while stirring, then simmer for about 10 minutes.

Let it cool, add the elderflowers and lemon slices, and transfer to a large pot or bowl. Cover and let steep for about two days.

Before bottling, strain through a cheesecloth and reheat briefly while stirring. Pour into a prepared bottle and seal tightly.

To drink, dilute the elderflower juice with cold water to taste (approximately 1:6 syrup to water).
