Ingredients
- 2 handfuls elderflowers
- 1 untreated lemon
- 500 g sugar
- 10 g citric acid (pharmacy)

Do not wash the elderflowers, just shake and set aside. Rinse the lemon hot and slice it. Slowly bring 1 l of water to a boil with the sugar while stirring, then simmer for about 10 minutes.

Let it cool, add the elderflowers and lemon slices, and pour into a large pot or similar container. Cover and let steep for about two days.

Before bottling, strain through a cheesecloth and reheat with citric acid while stirring. Pour into prepared bottles and keep tightly sealed.
