Cottage Cheese with Walnut Blackberry Compote

Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp walnuts
  • 1 sprig sage
  • 2 tbsp honey (regional)
  • 125 g blackberries (regional)
  • 4 tbsp homemade apple juice
  • 400 g cottage cheese (10% fat in total)

Instructions

    Coarsely chop the walnuts and toast them in a dry pan over medium heat for 3–4 minutes. Wash the sage, shake it dry, and pluck the leaves.

    Add honey, 100 g blackberries, apple juice, and sage leaves to the toasted walnuts and simmer for 2–3 minutes. Let cool briefly.

    Divide the cottage cheese into two bowls. Spoon the walnut blackberry compote over each bowl and serve with the remaining fresh blackberries.
