Classic Waldorf Salad from Spoonsparrow is a must-try. The combination of celery and fruit‑sweet apple tastes delicious!
Ingredients
- 1 head of celeriac
- Salt
- 1 onion
- 2 red‑skin apples
- 0.5 lemon
- 60 g mayonnaise
- 60 g yogurt (3.5% fat)
- Pepper
- 3 tbsp white balsamic vinegar
- 50 g chopped walnuts
- 8 leaves of romaine lettuce (for serving)
Instructions

Wash, peel and finely julienne the celeriac. Blanch in salted water, drain, shock in cold water and let dry well.

Peel and finely dice the onion. Wash the apples and julienne them.

Squeeze the lemon and mix its juice with the apple sticks. Combine all salad ingredients together and season to taste. Let the Waldorf Salad rest for at least 30 minutes. Wash, pat dry and shake off excess water the lettuce leaves, then arrange on small bowls. Add the salad and serve.
