Classic Tiramisu

Ingredients

  • 5 eggs
  • 80 g sugar
  • 500 g mascarpone
  • 200 ml coffee
  • 40 ml brandy (or Marsala or almond liqueur)
  • 20 ladyfingers
  • Kakaopulver (for dusting)

Instructions

    Separate the eggs and whisk the yolks with the sugar until pale and creamy (best with a hand mixer). Fold in the mascarpone. Beat the egg whites stiffly and fold them into the cream. Mix the coffee with the brandy. Briefly dip the ladyfingers and lay them in a shallow dish (about 18x25 cm). Spread half of the cream over them and smooth it out. Cover with a second layer of soaked ladyfingers and spread the remaining cream on top.

    Refrigerate for at least 3 hours. Dust with cocoa powder before serving.
