Ingredients

  • 150 g honey
  • 75 g brown sugar
  • 75 g butter
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 2 tsp gingerbread spice
  • 2 Eggs
  • 250 g flour
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 50 g chocolate shavings
  • 1 jar of Amarena cherries (450 g contents)
  • 1 mini muffin tin (with 12 cavities)
  • powdered sugar (for dusting)
  • fat (for greasing the pan)
  • small paper liners

Instructions

    Warm honey with sugar, butter and milk while stirring until the sugar dissolves. Stir in gingerbread spice and let cool. Beat eggs into the honey mixture. Mix flour with baking powder and cocoa, then fold chocolate shavings into the honey batter.

    Grease the muffin tin. Fill one third of the batter into each cavity and press one cherry into the center of each. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (middle rack) for 15-20 minutes. Let cool slightly before removing from the tins and dusting with powdered sugar. Repeat the process to bake another batch of 24 mini muffins.
