Ingredients

  • 200 g sweet almond kernels
  • 200 g powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp rose water (pharmacy grade)
  • 2 tbsp beetroot juice
  • 1 pinch saffron powder
  • 2 handfuls spinach leaves
  • 1 tbsp blueberries (frozen)

Instructions

    Boil almonds in a pot with water once, then remove from heat and let stand for 5 minutes. Drain, rinse, and press the almonds out of their shells.

    Purge almonds with powdered sugar in portions using an electric food processor. Add rose water during processing. Knead the marzipan by hand.

    Depending on desired shapes, divide into portions. Add beetroot juice directly. Puree spinach raw and strain the juice through a cloth. Dissolve saffron powder in a small amount of hot water. Pass blueberries through a sieve.

    Shape various figures from the colored marzipan (such as angels, little St. Nicholas, fir trees, etc).
