Christmas Gugelhupf

Ingredients
- 250 g butter
- 250 g sugar
- 1 packet vanilla sugar
- 6 Eggs
- 500 g flour
- 1 packet baking powder
- 0.125 l milk
- 1 Lime (juice)
- 60 g lemon zest (very finely chopped)
- 60 g orange zest (very finely chopped)
- 200 g powdered sugar
- Lemon juice
- thin shortbread star cookies (for decoration)
- butter (for the pan)
- breadcrumbs (for the pan)
- powdered sugar (to dust)

Grease the pan well and dust with breadcrumbs. Cream butter, add sugar and vanilla sugar, and mix until creamy. Gradually fold in eggs until sugar dissolves. Mix flour and baking powder, sift over the batter, stir in, add 4 tbsp milk, sift more flour, and continue until a smooth dough forms. Fold in lime juice, lemon zest, and orange zest. Pour batter into pan, level surface, bake at 175°C for about 50‑60 minutes. Test with a skewer, remove from oven, let cool slightly, then unmold.

Whisk powdered sugar with lemon juice until thick, pour generously over the cake, place shortbread star cookies on top, and allow glaze to set. Dust with powdered sugar.
