Chocolate Pudding

Ingredients

  • 125 g dark chocolate block
  • 3 tsp sugar
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch
  • 0.5 l milk
  • 1 egg

Instructions

    Set aside a small piece of the chocolate block for garnish. Roughly chop the remaining chocolate. Mix the sugar with the cornstarch and whisk in 5 tbsp of milk. Heat the rest of the milk, add the chopped chocolate, stir until melted and bring to a boil. Whisk the prepared starch mixture into the milk, let it come to a rolling boil once, then remove the pot from heat.

    Separate the egg, beat the yolk and fold it into the chocolate mixture. Whip the egg white stiffly. Let the pudding cool for a few minutes, then fold in the whipped egg white. Rinse four pudding cups cold, fill them with the mixture and let them cool. Grate the reserved chocolate block over the puddings before serving.
