- 350 g walnut kernels
- 250 g dark chocolate couverture
- 4 eggs
- 140 g sugar
- 0.5 tsp Salt
- 140 g soft butter
- 140 g flour
- 20 g cocoa powder
- 60 g currants
- powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F) with upper and lower heat.

2.
Coarsely chop the walnut kernels. Chop the couverture and melt it in a bowl over a warm, non-boiling water bath. Whisk the eggs with sugar and salt until frothy. Then add the butter and whisk until smooth. Mix flour and cocoa powder, add to the mixture and stir into a smooth dough. Fold in the melted chocolate, walnuts, and currants. Spread the dough evenly on a baking sheet (20 x 30 cm) lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven on the second rack from below for about 25 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool completely on a wire rack. Then cut into roughly 24 squares (5 cm sides) and again diagonally into triangles using a serrated knife. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
