Chocolate Muesli Bars

Try the delicious chocolate muesli bars from ➸ Spoonsparrow, because they are the perfect filling snack for in between!

Ingredients

  • 50 g dried dates (pitted)
  • 100 g nut mix
  • 20 g unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 250 g rolled oats
  • 30 g flax seeds
  • 200 g dark chocolate (min. 70% cocoa)
  • 50 g hazelnut spread
  • 300 g applesauce (or apples pulp)
  • 20 g unsweetened spelt flakes
  • 20 g puffed amaranth
  • 2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 pinch Vanilla powder
  • 0.5 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1 tsp organic orange zest

Instructions

    Roughly chop dates, nuts, cocoa powder, oats and flax seeds in a food processor or powerful blender.

    Chop 100 g of chocolate and mix with hazelnut spread, applesauce, spelt flakes, amaranth and spices with the date mixture.

    Fill the mixture into a baking pan lined with parchment paper and press down firmly. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 °C (180 °C convection, Gas: Mark 3) for 20–25 minutes until the surface is browned. Then let cool in the pan.

    Remove chocolate muesli bars from the pan and parchment paper, cut into 16 bars. Melt the remaining chocolate, decorate the bars with it and let cool.
