Chocolate Heart Cookies

Ingredients
- 200 g soft butter
- 100 g powdered sugar
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 packet vanilla sugar
- 1 tbsp orange juice
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 175 g flour
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 75 g ground almonds
- 75 g finely grated dark chocolate
- flour (for working)
- 125 g dark couverture

Beat butter with powdered sugar until fluffy. Stir in egg yolks, vanilla sugar, orange juice and cinnamon. Mix flour, almonds, cocoa and chocolate. Quickly knead the mixture into a smooth dough, wrap in cling film and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.

Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 3 mm thickness. Cut out hearts and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (middle rack) for about 10 minutes. Remove from the tray with the paper and let cool.

Chop the couverture into small pieces and melt it over a water bath. Dip half of each chocolate almond heart into the melted coating, let excess drip off and place on foil to dry.
