Ingredients

  • 1 dough (basic shortbread dough)
  • 30 g cocoa powder (4 Tbsp)
  • 2 tsp gingerbread spice
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 30 g cacao nibs (2 Tbsp)
  • 20 g whipping cream (2 Tbsp)
  • 2 tbsp raw cane sugar powdered

Instructions

    First prepare the dough according to the basic recipe. Here you can find the shortbread dough recipe.

  2. 2.

    Mix cocoa, gingerbread spice and baking powder. Knead together with cacao nibs and whipping cream into the shortbread dough.

    Shape the dough into walnut-sized balls, flatten slightly, roll one side in powdered sugar. Set aside remaining powdered sugar. Place chocolate cookies on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

    Bake the chocolate cookies in a preheated oven at 180 °C (fan 160 °C; gas: level 2–3) for 15 minutes. Remove and let cool.

    Before serving, dust the chocolate cookies with the remaining powdered sugar.
