Chocolate Buns

These chocolate buns made from a quark and oil dough are on the breakfast table in just 30 minutes. Quick, easy and healthy - that's how breakfast should be.

Ingredients

  • 150 g Whole Grain Spelt Flour
  • 150 g Spelt Flour (+ flour for kneading)
  • 1.5 tsp Baking Powder
  • Pinch Salt
  • 50 g Raw Sugar
  • 4 tbsp rapeseed oil
  • 250 g low-fat quark
  • 1 egg
  • 4 tbsp Soy Drink (Soy Milk)
  • 100 g Dark Chocolate Drops

Instructions

    Place the flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Add sugar and mix. Add rapeseed oil, quark, egg, and 3 tbsp of soy drink and process with the kneading hooks of a hand mixer into a smooth dough.

    Fold the chocolate drops into the quark-oil dough. Line a baking sheet with baking paper. Shape 9 round buns from the dough with floured hands and place them on the baking sheet.

    Brush the chocolate buns with soy drink and bake in a preheated oven at 200 °C (180 °C fan; Gas: Mark 3) for 12–15 minutes.
