Chocolate Brownies

Ingredients

  • 200 g dark chocolate
  • 375 g sugar
  • 150 g butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 250 g spelt flour
  • 125 g chopped walnuts
  • powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

    Coarsely chop the chocolate and melt it over a hot, non-boiling water bath. Remove from heat, let cool to lukewarm, then add the sugar and butter, stirring until dissolved. Gradually fold in the eggs, and finally whisk in the flour and walnuts.

    Mix everything into a smooth batter and shape small balls with your hands. If the batter is too runny, add a little more spelt flour. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C (160 °C fan; gas: level 2–3) for 15‑20 minutes.

    Remove the brownies from the oven, let cool, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
