Chili con Carne with Sour Cream
Classic chili con carne enriched with a burst of protein. Cook at home and enjoy!
Ingredients
- 1 onion
- 2 Garlic cloves
- 1 red bell pepper
- 1 red chili pepper
- 300 g kidney beans (canned; drained weight)
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 500 g ground beef
- 1 tbsp Tomato Paste
- 1 tbsp paprika powder, hot
- 200 ml meat broth
- 300 g diced tomatoes (canned)
- 4 stalks chives
- Salt
- Pepper
- 4 tbsp Sour cream

Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic. Wash, trim, and dice the bell pepper and chili pepper. Drain the kidney beans, rinse in a sieve, and let them dry.

Heat oil in a pot over medium heat. Sauté onions and garlic until translucent. Add ground beef and chili, browning well. Stir in tomato paste briefly, then add paprika powder and diced peppers. Deglaze with meat broth, then add tomatoes. Simmer for about 30 minutes, adding more broth if needed.

Add the kidney beans and simmer for another 10 minutes. Wash and dry the chives, then cut into rings. Season the chili con carne with salt and pepper, serve in bowls topped with a dollop of sour cream and garnished with chive rings.
