Chicken Strips with Rice

Creamy, light and delicious chicken strips with rice from Spoonsparrow!
Ingredients
- 200 g basmati rice
- 400 g turkey breast fillet
- 1 onion
- 250 g Mushrooms
- 2 tbsp oil (20 ml)
- 1 tbsp butter
- 200 ml heavy cream (30% fat)
- 125 ml crème fraîche
- Salt
- Pepper
- 1 bunch chives
Instructions

Cook the rice according to package instructions in a pot with double the amount of water over medium heat for 10–12 minutes, remove from heat, let steam off and set aside.

Slice the turkey breast into strips. Peel and dice the onion. Clean the mushrooms and slice them. Heat oil in a large non‑stick pan over medium heat and brown the turkey strips. Add butter, then add onions and mushrooms and cook together.

Stir in the cream and crème fraîche and simmer for 2–4 minutes over low heat until thickened. Season with salt and pepper. Wash the chives, dry and cut into thin rings.

Serve the chicken strips over rice on plates and sprinkle with chives.
