- 4 tbsp sweet soy sauce (Kecap manis)
- 1 tsp Sambal oelek
- 3 tbsp Lime juice

- 3 tbsp peanut oil
- 150 ml coconut milk
Instructions

1.
Rinse the meat, pat dry and cut into about 2 cm pieces. Peel the shallots and garlic and slice thinly. Mix both soy sauces with Sambal oelek. Rub the mixture onto the chicken pieces and thread them onto wooden skewers. Place in a bowl, cover and marinate in the refrigerator for about 1 hour.

2.
For the sauce finely chop the shallots and garlic. Pulse the peanuts in a blender until fine and mix with sweet soy sauce, Sambal oelek, lime juice and palm sugar. Heat oil in a pot, sauté the shallots and garlic until fragrant. Add the peanut paste and stir briefly. Deglaze with coconut milk and simmer while stirring constantly for about 5 minutes until thickened; if too firm add water.

3.
Preheat the grill and cook the skewers, turning occasionally, for about 10 minutes.

Serve the finished skewers on banana leaves as desired and accompany with peanut sauce.
