Chicken Patties

The chicken patties by Spoonsparrow are ideal for homemade burgers and taste great plain – whether warm or cold.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Raisins
  • 1 tbsp orange juice
  • 1 Carrot
  • 1 small zucchini
  • 1 onion
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp freshly chopped herbs (chives and coriander leaves)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp curry powder
  • 1 tsp harissa powder
  • 600 g ground turkey
  • breadcrumbs as needed
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

    Soak the raisins in orange juice. Peel or wash and trim the carrot, zucchini, and onion. Grate the carrot and zucchini finely, dice the onion finely. Sauté the vegetables in 1 tbsp hot oil for about 2 minutes, then let cool.

    Mix the raisins, herbs, egg, curry, and harissa into the ground turkey. Add breadcrumbs as needed so the mixture is easy to shape. Season with salt and pepper and form eight patties. Fry in the remaining hot oil, both sides, for about 6 minutes until golden brown.
