Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 50 g sugar
- 2 tbsp vanilla sugar
- 75 g flour
- a pinch salt
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 100 g quark
- 75 ml milk
- 750 g cherries
- butter (for the dish)
- 1 tbsp flour (for the cherries)
- powdered sugar (to dust)
Instructions
-
1.
Preheat the oven to 180°C fan. Butter a round, oven-safe dish.
-
2.
Beat the eggs with sugar and vanilla sugar until fluffy. Add flour, salt, baking powder, quark, and milk; mix well.
-
3.
Wash, pit, halve, and drain the cherries. Toss lightly with 1–2 tbsp flour so they don’t sink into the batter.
-
4.
Pour half of the batter into the dish, spread half of the cherries on top, then pour the remaining batter over them. Smooth the surface and scatter the rest of the cherries on top.
-
5.
Bake in the hot oven for 30–40 minutes until golden brown. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
