Ingredients

  • 500 g cherries
  • 60 g sugar
  • 600 ml red fruit juice
  • 50 ml Maraschino liqueur
  • 1 EL cornstarch
  • mint (for garnish)

Instructions

    Wash cherries, drain them. Boil the juice with sugar, add cherries and bring to a boil.

  2. 2.

    Whisk cornstarch with a little water until smooth, stir into the compote, bring back to a boil and let thicken slightly, remove from heat, stir in maraschino liqueur and let cool.

    Serve garnished with mint leaves.
