Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 tsp bourbon vanilla
  • 80 g flour
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 75 ml milk (3.5%)
  • 100 g quark (20%)
  • 500 g cherries
  • butter (for the pan)

Instructions

    Beat eggs, sugar and vanilla with a hand mixer until frothy. Add flour, salt, baking powder, quark and milk to the egg mixture. Let rest in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Wash and pit cherries.

    Preheat oven to 180°C. Grease the baking pan. Pour one-third of the batter into the pan, spread cherries on top, then pour the remaining batter over them and smooth out. Bake in the oven for about 30-35 minutes until golden brown. Cut into squares and serve.
