- 750 g sweet cherries
- 200 g butter
- 180 g sugar
- 4 eggs
- 150 ml sour cream
- 500 g flour
- 1 packet baking powder
- 50 ml milk
- 100 g almond slivers

Preheat the oven to 180°C with top and bottom heat.

Wash the cherries. Cream the butter with sugar, then stir in the eggs and sour cream. Mix the flour with the baking powder and fold into the batter alternately with the milk.

Spread the dough onto a parchment-lined sheet pan, arrange the cherries on top, press them lightly, and bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes. Sprinkle almond slivers over the last 10 minutes of baking and finish cooking. Remove the cake from the oven, let it cool, and serve.
