Ingredients

  • 1 kg potatoes
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 50 g butter
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 600 g young Cantal cheese

Instructions

    Peel and wash the potatoes, cut them slightly smaller. Peel the garlic and cook with the potatoes in a pot of salted water for about 25 minutes over medium heat. Then drain and mash with butter and milk using a potato masher.

    Grate the cheese, add it to the mashed potatoes and stir with a wooden spoon over low heat until a creamy, homogeneous mixture forms. Taste and serve warm.
