Cheese and Ham Omelette

Ingredients

  • 8 eggs
  • 4 tbsp heavy cream
  • 150 g cooked ham (sliced)
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • Pepper (freshly ground)
  • Salt
  • 100 g grated cheese (e.g., Emmental)

Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F) on top heat.

    Separate the eggs and beat the whites until half‑firm. Fold in the yolks and cream.

    Cut the ham into pieces and sauté each quarter in 1 tbsp hot butter in an omelette pan. Pour a quarter of the egg mixture over, season with pepper and lightly salt, sprinkle with some cheese, and place in the oven. Bake for about 5 minutes until set and slightly browned, repeating to make four omelettes.
