Ingredients
- 200 g firm potatoes
- 1 Carrot
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds
- 60 g breadcrumbs
- Salt
- white pepper
- a pinch nutmeg
- a pinch cardamom
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- oil (for frying)
- 1 vanilla pod
- poppy seed (for sprinkling)
Instructions

Peel the potatoes, cut into pieces and steam until tender for about 20 minutes. Let them cool slightly, then press through a potato masher into a bowl and allow to cool completely. Peel and grate the carrot, adding it to the mashed potatoes.

Add the egg, 1 tbsp sesame, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, nutmeg, cardamom, and cinnamon; knead into a dough. Form 20 balls and fry them in hot oil until golden yellow.

Slice the vanilla pod into 20 thin sticks and insert one stick into each ball. Serve sprinkled with sesame and poppy seed.
