Ingredients

  • 500 g green figs
  • 100 g dextrose
  • 400 g sugar

Instructions

    Wash figs, place in a pot, cover with water, simmer for 10 minutes, remove and drain well. Stir the cooking liquid with dextrose and sugar and let stand at least 12 hours. Heat the syrup to 110°C and pour over the fruit.

    After 24 hours, strain the syrup, reheat to 110°C and pour again over the fruit. Repeat this process at least four more times. Drain the figs and dry them in a warm place for at least 24 hours.
