Camembert Ice Cream

Ingredients

  • 2 Camembert (200 g)
  • 0.5 tsp freshly grated nutmeg
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 400 ml whipping cream
  • Salt
  • pepper (from grinder)
  • 0.5 small red chili pepper (washed and seeded)
  • cinnamon powder

Instructions

    Bring about one third of the cream to a boil with the cinnamon stick and chili pepper, then let it cool. Cut the Camembert into pieces. Pour the cooled cream through a sieve over the Camembert and blend everything finely. Whip the remaining cream stiffly, fold it into the Camembert mixture and stir in.

    Season with nutmeg, salt and pepper. Freeze either in an ice cream maker until creamy or in the refrigerator for 3–4 hours, stirring well every 30 minutes. Scoop with an ice cream scoop, serve in glass bowls and dust with cinnamon powder. Garnish with chili peppers and serve.
