Spoonsparrow Calamari: a protein-rich summer dish to share and indulge in

Ingredients

  • 800 g calamari (pre-cleaned)
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 Eggs
  • 100 g white bread crumbs
  • vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions

    Wash the squid, cut the tubes into rings and the tentacles into pieces. Season everything with salt, pepper and lemon juice and coat in flour. Shake off excess flour and dip portions in beaten eggs.

    Bread the coated pieces and fry them in hot oil (about 170 °C) in a pot or deep fryer for 3‑4 minutes until golden brown. Drain on kitchen paper and keep warm at 80 °C in the oven if desired until all squid are fried.
