Ingredients

  • 1 head romaine lettuce
  • 150 g Jarlsberg (® for garnish, sliced or shaved)
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 4 tbsp white wine vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic (finely chopped)
  • 2 tbsp neutral-flavored oil (sunflower or rapeseed)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 120 g Jarlsberg (®, grated)
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 4 anchovies
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

    Whisk the egg yolk with vinegar and garlic. Slowly drizzle in the oils, stirring continuously. Fold in all remaining ingredients—except the Jarlsberg® reserved for garnish. The dressing can also be made in a blender.

    Tear the lettuce head apart, wash the leaves, pat dry, and arrange on serving plates. Drizzle the dressing over the salad and top with Jarlsberg® strips or slices.
