Ingredients

  • 1 medium head of cabbage
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 1 medium onion (coarsely chopped)
  • 3 strips bacon (diced)
  • Salt
  • Pepper

    Shred the cabbage into strips and rinse, do not pat dry. Heat oil in a pot, sauté onion cubes and bacon until onions color and bacon is almost crisp. Add the cabbage, season with salt and pepper, stir, cover and cook over low heat. Shake the pot several times and stir the contents – the cabbage steams until the vegetables are cooked but still firm.
