Cabbage with Bacon

Ingredients
- 800 g cabbage
- 100 g smoked pork belly
- 1 onion
- 2 tbsp plant oil
- 1 tsp powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp wine vinegar
- 120 ml beef broth
- Salt
- ground pepper (from the mill)
- ground cumin
- 2 tbsp freshly chopped parsley

Wash, trim and cut the cabbage into pieces. Dice the bacon small. Peel and dice the onion as well. Sauté all together in a hot pot with oil for a short time. Sprinkle with powdered sugar, deglaze with vinegar and some broth. Mix in the cabbage, season with salt, pepper and cumin, cover and cook gently for about 10 minutes until tender. Stir occasionally and add more broth if needed.

Just before serving stir in the parsley, let the liquid evaporate almost completely, then taste and adjust seasoning.
