Ingredients
- 8 cocktail tomatoes
- 2 Spring Onions
- 1 Garlic clove
- 2 tbsp plant oil
- 2 tbsp corn (canned)
- 1 old-fashioned roll
- 1 red chili pepper
- 1 Shallot
- 1 Garlic clove
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 tbsp freshly chopped parsley
- 400 g ground beef
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp sharp mustard
- Salt
- pepper (ground)
- 8 salad leaves (e.g., Lollo Binaco)
- 4 wheat rolls
- 5 tbsp ketchup (or barbecue sauce)
Instructions
-
1.
Wash and quarter the tomatoes for the topping. Wash, trim, and slice the spring onions into thin rings; peel and finely chop the garlic clove. Heat oil in a pan, sauté the garlic, add the spring onion, tomato quarters, and corn, season with salt and pepper, and cook briefly before letting cool.
-
2.
Soak the roll in lukewarm water for the patties. Wash the chili, halve it lengthwise, remove seeds, and finely chop. In a hot pan, sauté the shallot, garlic, and chopped chili in oil until translucent. Remove from heat, mix in parsley, and let cool.
-
3.
Combine ground beef with egg, mustard, onion mixture, well-squeezed roll, salt, and pepper; knead and shape into four patties.
-
4.
Preheat the grill and cook each patty for about 4 minutes on each side.
-
5.
Meanwhile wash and dry the salad leaves.
-
6.
Halve the rolls horizontally, drizzle the tops with 1 tbsp ketchup or barbecue sauce, and toast briefly on the hot grill. Layer with salad leaves, place a patty on top, spread a bit of topping and 1 tsp barbecue sauce, then close the roll. Serve immediately and offer mixed salad on the side.
