- 1 Red Onion
- 400 g ground beef
- Salt
- Pepper
- 1 tomato
- 2 pickles
- 2 lettuce leaves (e.g., iceberg lettuce)
- 2 tbsp sunflower oil
- 4 whole grain rolls
- 4 tbsp ketchup

Peel the red onion. Dice half finely and slice the other half into rings. Mix the onion cubes with the ground beef and season with salt and pepper. Wash the tomato, remove the stem, and slice the flesh. Slice the pickles as well. Rinse the lettuce leaves, shake dry, and tear into smaller pieces.

Shape four equal-sized patties from the ground beef and brown them in hot oil in a pan for 6-8 minutes on each side.

Halve the rolls horizontally. Spread ketchup on each bottom half and assemble the burgers with lettuce, pickle slices, patties, tomato slices, and onion rings.
