Ingredients

  • 125 ml native olive oil (extra)
  • 8 garlic cloves
  • 800 g broad beans (peeled and cut into 5 cm pieces)
  • 1 tsp sea salt flakes

Instructions

  1. 1.

Slice the garlic thinly. Heat the olive oil in a heavy-bottomed pan over very low heat and gently simmer the garlic for 8-10 minutes until lightly browned and soft. Remove from heat and pour the garlic with the oil into a heat‑resistant bowl.

  2. 2.

Meanwhile, put the beans into a large pot of boiling salted water. Bring back to a boil and cook for 12-15 minutes until tender.

  3. 3.

Drain the beans, place them in a preheated serving bowl and season with some sea salt flakes and freshly ground black pepper. Pour the garlic‑oil mixture over them, gently stir through and serve hot.
