Ingredients

  • 4 kg red blackberries
  • 2 l water
  • 2 kg sugar
  • 1 packet canning aid

Instructions

    Wash the berries, drain and strip them from the stems. Place in a pot, crush, and bring to a boil with the water.

    Place the cooked fruit on a muslin cloth stretched between two chair legs and let it strain through.

    Measure the extracted juice and stir in sugar (maximum 650 g sugar per 1 l of juice). Bring the juice to a boil once, skim off foam, and stir in the canning aid. Fill bottles and seal tightly.
