Beet Latte

The Beet Latte from Spoonsparrow is quick to make and provides plenty of plant-based iron.

Ingredients

  • 200 ml Beet juice
  • 0.5 bio lemon
  • 300 ml milk (3.5% fat)
  • 1 pinch Vanilla powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tbsp honey

Instructions

    Warm the beet juice in a small saucepan over medium heat. Rinse the lemon half with hot water, pat dry, and finely grate the peel (use the remaining fruit for other purposes).

    In another saucepan, warm the milk with the lemon peel, vanilla powder, and a pinch of salt over medium heat and froth with a milk frother.

    Sweeten the beet juice with honey, pour it into cups or mugs, and fill with the milk foam. Stir lightly if desired to create a nice pattern. Enjoy your Beet Latte warm.
